At 29 design, a sole trader business, we are totally committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use this website, how we process and protect that data, the lawful grounds for that processing, and your related rights.

Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page, so please check back occasionally to make sure you’re happy with any changes.

The lawful grounds for processing your data are that it is necessary for our legitimate interests in running our business, including improving and growing our services, and necessary to carry out our contract with you.

We collect information about you to process your order or project, and to tailor your visit to our website to be as relevant to you as possible. Your data is only ever used for the purpose it was provided for. We never sell your personal data, and only share it with the small number of trusted parties described under “Who we share your data with” below.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you place an order online, request a quotation or a sample pack, or create a customer account. Website usage information is collected via the use of cookies.

The information we collect may include your name, your address (and any other additional delivery addresses), your telephone number (for production queries and delivery issues), and your email address (used to give you access to your account and to send you information that may be useful to you). Other information necessary for processing your order, such as card payment, is handled by Stripe or GoCardless.

What we do with the information we gather?

We use the personal data you provide to supply you with the information, products or advice you have requested, to process your order and manage your account, and to keep accurate internal records. We may also use it to improve our products and services.

If you have contacted us through our samples request form or custom quote form and agreed to opt in to our marketing communications, we also use your information to contact you about money saving offers, special promotions, flash sales, new products and services which we think may be of interest to you.

Access to your information and correction

You have a right to ask for a copy of the information which we are holding on you, and this will be supplied at the latest within one month of the request. We will correct any inaccuracies for no charge within a month of you making the request.

You also have the right to erasure, also known as the right to be forgotten. Please contact us using speaktous@29-design.co.uk if you would like a copy of your information or to request the deletion of your information.

Security of the data we collect

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Secure online payments and card transactions are handled directly by Stripe or GoCardless using their secure hosted payment service. Advanced encryption protects your information from being intercepted by unauthorised parties.

Archiving and file handling

All our clients’ production files are stored on our secure internal storage. This helps our clients when ordering repeat jobs, or in the unfortunate case of loss of original files. We do not charge for this service and cannot guarantee the safe retrieval of all client files. You have the right to ask us not to archive your files, and these will be deleted from our systems on or after delivery of your finished product. Only 29 design has access to any client files, with the sole purpose of fulfilling your order, and any original hard or digital files will be returned to the client on or after delivery of the finished product. A high resolution PDF may be supplied to our trusted production partners where needed, and these files will not be archived by outside companies.

Why we would like to contact you

29 Design only ever contacts clients from an @29-design.co.uk address, never Gmail or any other free email provider. If you’re ever unsure whether something’s genuinely from us, check with speaktous@29-design.co.uk.

Our e-marketing, sent via Brevo, is the way we publicise our money saving promotions, flash sales, special offers and new products. If you are an existing customer you may receive some e-marketing communications from time to time. If you have had contact with us via one of our online forms we hope that you will also opt in to our mailing list, otherwise you may not benefit from these unique email only opportunities. We don’t flood your inbox, you will receive no more than one newsletter per quarter and no more than 2 special one-off promotions per month. You may opt out of our mailing list at any time via the unsubscribe link on any e-marketing correspondence we send you.

Marketing on our website

We get to design and print lots of lovely projects for our customers, and occasionally we may use a picture of your work on one of our pages, our blog, or on one of our social media channels. Please let us know if you do not want your project used in this way. Any work covered by copyright will not be used.

Links to other websites

Cookies

In this instance, a cookie is not a chocolate chip stuffed biscuit but a small file which seeks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. If you agree, the file is added and helps to analyse web traffic or lets us know when you visit the site. Cookies “recognise” you and allow web applications to respond to you as an individual, by tailoring their operation to your unique needs. We use cookies to identify how and which pages on our website are being used, which helps us improve the site to better meet our customers’ needs. We only use this traffic information for statistical analysis, and the data is then removed from the system.

A cookie does not give us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser settings to decline them if you prefer, though this may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website. Cookies do not collect personal data. We may use cookies in the following categories: necessary, without these the website won’t function correctly; helpful, to monitor visitor activity so we can improve the site structure and guide you to pages likely to be of interest; and personal, remembering your preferences and allowing you to link onward to other content. We may also use web beacons on emails to check whether they’ve been opened and whether links have been clicked, so we learn not to send you things you don’t want. In continuing to use our website, you are agreeing to our use of cookies as outlined above.
